Privacy Policy

Weaving Intelligence is published by Shabel Enterprises, Ltd. (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account & membership data — the email address and profile details you provide when you subscribe. Weaving Intelligence is free to read and takes no payment, so we hold no billing information at all.
• Email engagement — whether newsletters are delivered, whether they are opened, and which links in them are followed. This keeps our sending healthy and tells us which work was worth doing.
• Site analytics — privacy-respecting, cookieless usage measurement, including how a subscriber first arrived; we do not use advertising trackers, and we do not add tracking parameters to links that take you to other people’s sites. Links between Weaving Intelligence and Shabel Enterprises — the same operator, not a third party — do carry a campaign tag, so we can tell which writing brought you across.
• Messages you send us — what you type into the contact form, plus your name and email address, so we can reply. A bot check runs on submission; it is not used to profile you.
• Deep Dive requests — your name and email address, and, if you choose to answer it, where you first heard about us. The address is used to send you the package you asked for. It does not subscribe you to anything; the newsletter is a separate choice you make yourself.

What happens to a form submission

When you submit the contact form or ask for a Deep Dive package, it becomes an email to a person and nothing more. There is no database, no customer-relationship system, and no marketing platform behind these forms. Our servers do not store the submission, and our application logs record only that it succeeded or failed — never your name, email address, or message text. Subscribing to the newsletter is a separate thing and does create an account with our publishing platform; that is described above.

That email also notes which page of the site you sent it from, and when, and — because Weaving Intelligence and Shabel Enterprises are the same operator — it is how we can tell that a reader reached the consultancy through something we published. It records nothing about where you were before you reached that page. This is written into the email itself; it does not create a database.

How we use it

To deliver the publication and the newsletters you choose, operate memberships, respond to you, send you any Deep Dive package you request, and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

You can update your profile or unsubscribe from any email at any time, and you may request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us.
